Terry Winters

Terry G. Winters, 63, of Harrisburg, IL passed away at his residence at 4:15 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 at 12 noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will begin at 10 am until service time, with Reverend Ownly Williams officiating. Interment will follow services at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL.

Terry was born on April 18, 1962 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Dorris Winters and Edna (Davis) Winters.

He earned an Associates in small engines from Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg, IL. Many knew him through his shop, Terry’s Small Engines. He was dedicated and passionate about not only his work, but serving his neighborhood in any way he could. Terry could often be found standing on his porch, enjoying the day, when he wasn’t working in the shop. He loved his shop and porch time, but loved his grandchildren and great-grandchild most of all. Terry truly cherished and adored his 6 grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Terry is survived by his Daughter: Tera (Aspen) Moss of Harrisburg, IL; Son: Terry Winters of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Brothers: Rick Winters, Fred Winters and Bill Winters of Harrisburg, IL; Sister: Kaye Brock of Harrisburg, IL; 6 Grandchildren: Heaven Winters, Carson Winters, DeAndre Moss, Gabby Moss, Izzy Moss and Kainen Winters; 1 Great-grandchild: Leanah Gray Winters along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dorris and Edna Winters; Brother: Randy Winters; Sister: Bertha Alice Winters, and long-time girlfriend: Joanne Colboth.
