Patricia Lorene Hunt, 73, of Creal Springs, IL died Sunday October 11, 2026 at 1:37 pm at Deaconess Hospital in Marion, IL. Memorial graveside services will be held Friday October 16, 2026 at 11 am at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery near Dykersburg, IL. There will be no visitation, all family and friends should go directly to the cemetery.  Reverend Pete Slivinski will officiate. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family.

She was born on October 21, 1952 in Creal Springs, IL to the late John Henry and Thelma Lorene (Atherton) Rose.

She married James Albert Hunt on December 15, 1987 and he preceded in death on October 31, 2020.

She began working as a waitress at the age of 12 and continued throughout her life, she was also a clerk for many years at Horn's Market.

Patty loved to crochet rag rugs, check out all the neighbors rummage sales and go to flea markets.

She is survived by 2 Sisters: Marjorie Horn and Katy Newbold both of Creal Springs, IL; 2 Aunts: Margaret Smithey of Granite City, IL and Almeda Coonrod of Steelville, IL; Nieces and Nephews: Donald Horn, Sharon (Donnie) Tanner, Steve (Wilma) Glenn and Adena Hayden; several great nieces and nephews and Friend Billy Raines of Creal Springs, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband: James A. Hunt; Brother: John G. Rose; Niece: Lisa Glenn and Brother in Law: Orval Horn.
