Joseph Alan Russell, 63, of Creal Springs, IL died Thursday September 3, 2026, at 6:18PM at University of Health Shands in Gainesville, FL. A visitation will be held Friday September 11, 2026, at 10:00AM at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Funeral services will be held following visitation at 11:00AM. Reverend Pete Slivinski will officiate. Burial will be in Little Saline Cemetery in Stonefort, IL.

He was born on May 23, 1963, in Chicago, IL to the late George Layman Russell Sr. and Clara Mae (Cook) Russell.

Joseph was an avid pool player and enjoyed playing in his free time. He also enjoyed playing video games and had a love for gardening.

He is survived by his brother: Phillip Russell of New Burnside, IL; 2 sisters: Lucy Conley of Creal Springs, IL, Lola (Derel) Allen of Ocala, FL. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents as well as 2 brothers; George Russell Jr. and Sherman Russell.
