Jesse Lee Rouse

Jesse Lee Rouse, 80, of Harrisburg, IL  died Tuesday June 23, 2026 at 7:00 pm at his residence. His wishes was to be cremated. There will be no services at this time. His cremains will be buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL at a later date.  Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the details.

Jesse was born on October 7, 1945 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late Naomi (Rouse) Coleman and Leonard  Q. Duncan.

He married the former Shirley Woodgett and she survives.

Jesse retired as a Senior Patrolman from the Elgin Illinois Police force after serving the community for 25 years.

Jesse held an undeniable passion for capturing the world through drawing and painting. His enduring spirit lives on vibrantly through the immense collection of artwork he left for us to protect, cherish and celebrate.

He is survived by his Wife: Shirley Rouse of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Daughters: Alicia Abell of Harrisburg, IL; Socorro "Coco" (Jim) Wilkerson of Harrisburg, IL and Jessie (Mike) Smith of Harrisburg, IL; 2 Sons: David Rouse of Carbondale, IL and Daniel (Robyn) Rouse of Carterville, IL; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother: James Rouse and Sister: Zella Rouse.
