Janie M. Wienke

Janie M. Wienke, 95, of Carrier Mills, IL died Sunday May 17, 2026 at 1:15 pm at her residence. Graveside services will be held Friday May 22, 2026 at 11 am at Springhill Cemetery in rural Creal Springs, IL. There will be no visitation all family and friends should go directly to the cemetery.  Reverend Gary Graves and Reverend Greg Wooten will officiate. Felty Funeral Home is assisting the family with the details.

She was born on July 3, 1930 in Stonefort, IL to the late William and Lillie (Deaton) Deaton.

She worked most of her life as a switchboard operator and also for an manufacturing company in the Chicago area. She loved to read and spend time with her family.

Janie is survived by her son: Michael Wienke of Carrier Mills, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Janie was preceded in death by 3 Sisters: Helen Graves, Mary Bohne and Lula Sibigtroth and 5 Brothers: Charlie Deaton, Vernell Deaton, Lavern Deaton, Eugene Deaton and Noel Deaton.
