Herbert Dean Vinyard

Reverend Herbert Dean Vinyard, 86, of Stonefort, IL died Wednesday July 22, 2026 at 9:00 am at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg, IL. Funeral services will be held Sunday July 26, 2026 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL.  Visitation will be held Sunday after 11 am until service time. Reverend Jerry Wells will officiate. Burial will be in Lavender Cemetery in Hardin County, IL.

He was born on February 19, 1940 in Hardin County, IL and resided there for many years.

He married the former Christine Hubbard on February 14, 1967 and she preceded in death on May 4, 2018

He worked rebuilding coal mining equipment for many years until an injury prevented him from continuing. He also spent many years working and serving as a Pentecostal minister.  He was a member of the Dorrisville Social Brethren church in Harrisburg, IL. In his spare time and after his retirement he loved to travel.

He is survived by his son: Larry (Laura) Vinyard of Byron, IL; daughter: Linda Bridgewater of Earlville, IL; stepd-daughter: Linda Murphy of Marion, IL; step-son: Arthur Baldwin of Harrisburg, IL; 3 grandchildren: Richard Vinyard, Randy Vinyard and Laura Woodward; and 3 great grandchildren: Madison, Charlotte and Dallas Vinyard.
