George Fredrick Engleby, 71, of Carrier Mills, IL died Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 9:21 am at Harrisburg Medical Center. Graveside services will be held Wednesday October 28, 2026 at 11 am at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. Reverend Bob Smithey will officiate. There will be no visitation, all family and friends should go directly to the cemetery. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the details.

George was born on November 24, 1954 in Harrisburg, Il to Albert Sherfield and Villetta (Engleby) Keeffer.

He worked many jobs in his lifetime but recently he had drove a truck for many years, in his spare time he would enjoy a good fishing trip.

George is survived by his Companion: Susie Bishop of Carrier Mills, IL; 2 Sons: Mike (Barbie Milligan) Engleby of Stonefort, IL and Jeff (Angela Gollihur) Engleby of Eldorado, IL;  Mother: Villetta Keeffer of Arizona; 2 Brothers: Ed Bennett of Jonesboro IL and Jeff (Dina) Bennett of Anna, IL; Sister: Penny Rutherford of Morris, IL; Grandchildren: Tyler Engleby, Holly Engleby, Adriana Engleby, Rose Sherfield, Dylan Franklin, Kayley Milligan, Landon Milligan and Madison Milligan and several nieces and nephews.
