Charles Paul Phelps

Paul Phelps, 84, of Harrisburg, IL passed away at 11:01 am on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Axiom Health Care in Harrisburg, IL. His wishes were to be cremated. There are no services scheduled at this time. Felty Funeral Home of Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.

Paul was born on February 12, 1941 to the late Charles Phelps and Delores (Dunham) Phelps.

He married the former Betty Roberts who preceded him in death on November 12, 2016.

Paul was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a coal miner for many years before leaving the mines to drive for Fetch.

He is survived by 2 Sons: Todd Phelps of Raleigh, IL and Scott Phelps of Marion, IL; Step-son: Steve McKinnins of Harrisburg, IL; Brother: Dink Phelps of Johnston City, IL; Sister: Carolyn Dudley Madisonville, KY; Grandson: Kyle Phelps of Raleigh, IL, and Step-grandson: Jay McKinnis of Pittsburg, IL.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Delores Phelps, and wife: Betty Phelps.
