Anthony Craig Dunn, 58, of Carrier Mills, IL, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at 11:58 p.m. at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Two weeks before his passing, Anthony became critically ill from a severe infection that led to complications his body could not overcome. He fought hard for two weeks and was surrounded by love and care through it all.
Anthony and Angeline Dunn fell in love in 2002 and were married on April 7, 2007, building a life together over the years. He was not only her husband, but also her best friend, and he often reminded her that she was his too. Their story was not perfect, but the love between them was real, deep, and lasting.
Anthony had a big heart and cared deeply for the people he loved. He was a family man through and through. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping, and being outdoors, especially when it meant being with the people he loved. He was also a loyal Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.
He was a father who loved his children very much. Family was always a big part of who he was. He loved fishing with his family, golfing with his brother, son, and son-in-law, listening to music and dancing with his daughters, playing tickle monster was a favorite among his children and grand children, and we can't forget how he loved hosting big family BBQs, which always meant a lot to him.
Anthony worked for many years as a COR Pipeline Inspector. Anthony had a big heart and loved his family deeply. While he faced personal struggles, he was working toward change and was sober at the time of his passing, something his family finds peace in.
