Ann Horn

Ann Horn, 89, of Vienna, IL died Friday May 23, 2025 at 1:09 PM at Deaconess Regional  of Illinois in Marion, IL.  Graveside services will be held Thursday May 29, 2025 at 11 am at New Burnside Cemetery. There will be no visitation, all family and friends should go directly to the cemetery. Reverend Anthony Volkert will officiate. Felty Funeral Home is assisting the family.

She was born on December 3, 1935 in Evansville, IN to the late John and Callie (Williams) Groves Sr.

She worked many years at the Maytag Factory in Herrin, IL before it became Whirlpool and she retired. She loved to play gin rummy, and bingo. She also enjoyed music, especially singing and playing the guitar.

She is survived by 2 Daughters: Gail (Bill) Whitehead of New Burnside, IL and Rita (Michael) Hull of Tunnel Hill, IL; Brother: Leon (Carol) Groves of Carmi, IL; 9 grandchildren, 29 great grand children and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: Son: Melvin Curtis Horn; Daughter: Nila Kaye Horn and 2 Brothers: John Groves Jr. and Keith Groves.
