Sheryel A. Swan, 63, of 221 North Pyle Street, Carrier Mills, IL died Monday January 29, 2018 at 11:50 am at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL. Funeral services will be Thursday February 1, 2018 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm. Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the the family to help with expenses. She was born on March 25, 1954 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Wayne Tanner and Jean (Parks) Tanner whom survives. She married James D. “Jim” Swan on June 19, 1970 and he survives. She was a member of the Carrier Mills Social Brethren Church, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved to cook and was quite fond of Diet Coke. She is survived by her Husband: James “Jim” Swan of Carrier Mills, IL; Mother: Jean Tanner of Carrier Mills, IL; 3 Daughters: Jennifer: (Kenny) Rushing of Harrisburg, IL; Tara (Robbie) Hadley of Carrier Mills, IL; and Stephanie (Rick) Milligan of Carrier Mills, IL; and 4 Grandchildren: Colton Wolaver of Harrisburg, IL; Dillon Rushing of Murphysboro, IL; Hayleigh Hadley and Robert Hadley III both of Carrier Mills, IL. She was preceded in death by her Father: Wayne Tanner.
