Obituary James E. Reeder, 91, of 90 Peacock Road, Harrisburg, IL died Friday January 19, 2018 at 1:40 am at Harrisburg Medical Center. Graveside services will be held Monday January 22, 2018 at 11 am at the Ledford Cemetery. There will be no visitation all friends should go directly to the cemetery. Reverend Joe Poirot will officiate. Military rites will be be performed by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legions and the Army National Guard Ritual Team. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the services. He was born on January 7, 1927 in Saline County, IL to the late Delmar and Thelma (Medlin) Reeder. He married the former Stella Marie Gallimore in 1948 and she preceded in death on September 3, 2002. He was a retired operating engineer and he served in the US Army during the Korean War. He is survived by 3 Sisters: Carolyn Thomas of Harrisburg, IL; Linda Hutchinson of Ledford, IL and Patty Harrod of Eldorado, IL; Brother: Richard Reeder of Harrisburg, IL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Donald Reeder, Robert Reeder and Paul Reeder; 2 Sisters: Alma Odle and Barbara Reeder and Stepdaughter: Norma Wilson.
