William George Fitzgerald, 62, of 223 East Washington Street, Carrier Mills, IL died Thursday June 20, 2013 at 11:17 am in Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Funeral services will be held Monday June 24, 2013 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Monday after 9 am until the service time. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery and Reverend Clifford Clark will officiate. Memorials may be made to Mid-America Transplant Association. He was born on February 21, 1951 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late George and Mary (Wilkins) Fitzgerald. He married the former Nora McDermott on June 20, 1972 and she survives. He worked as an automotive mechanic before his retirement. He is survived by his wife: Nora Fitzgerald of Carrier Mills, IL; 2 sons: Buddy Fitzgerald of Carrier Mills, IL and Jason Fitzgerald of Harrisburg, IL; Brother: Eddie (Pat) Fitzgerald of Carrier Mills, IL; and Sister: Reva Seets of Carrier Mills, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister: Kathryn Choat and Brother: Carl Tolbert.
