Wilma Elms

Wilma Elms 92, of 104 Baugher Street; Carrier Mills, IL died Monday June 3, 2013 at 6:55 am at the home of her daughter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 5, 2013 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday after 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Reverend Larry Morse will officiate. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. She was born on April 26, 1921 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late Weaver and Myrna (Bryan) McNew. She married Norvell Elms on October 23, 1938 and he preceded in death on July 21, 1993. She was a homemaker and caregiver to many of her friends before their passing, she enjoyed gardening, crafts, quilting and cooking. She was a member and former Sunday School teacher at the Main Street Church of God in Carrier Mills. She is survived by A Daughter: Phyllis McDaniel of Harrisburg, IL; Son: Terry (Terry) Elms of Ozark, IL; 6 Grandchildren: Sherri (Dave) Teitsort, Julie (James) Arnold, Shane (Kara) Elms, Abby (Jeff) Henshaw, Justin (Kristi) Elms and Eliza (David) Hill; 16 great grandchildren and 10 great great granchildren.
