Ronald "Dago" Dean Patterson

Ronald “Dago” Patterson, 71, of 1312 Brush Street, Johnson City, IL died Thursday February 14, 2013 at 5:58 pm at his residence. Dago chose cremation as his form of disposition, there will be a memorial service and family benefit announced at a later date. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is entrusted with the services. Dago was born on February 14, 1942 in Marion, IL to the late Clyde Lingle and Dorothy (Patterson) Cavitt. He was retired from the Steel Mills as a machinist where he worked for many years. He is best known as being an avid pool player all over Southern Illinois. One of his proudest accomplishments was being able to play along side his son: Joe at the VNEA pool tournament in Las Vegas, NV. Dago loved his friends and family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Teresa (Dover) Patterson of Johnston City, IL; Children: Thomas Patterson of Manteno, IL; Joe Patterson of Galatia, IL; Kim Haase of Creal Springs, IL; Angela Dumaw of Kankakee, IL; Rhonda Frick of Johnston City, IL; Sarah Decarlo of Kankakee, Il; Eli Kendrick of Blythesville, AR; and Ashley Newsome of Murphysboro, IL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and Grandson: Corey Patterson.
